Chicago Gets Wired for WiFi

Chicago is getting wired for broadband WiFi. The city of Chicago has an ambitious plan to roll out a broadband wireless network which would eventually encompass 228 square miles. Wow! Although the city of Chicago already has hundreds of cafes with WiFi access it wants to create the mammoth WiFi network in hopes of attracting more business to the city. the city of Chicago is currently in the planning stages with this project and is taking bids from firms to build the network. Although a few U.S. cities have free broadband WiFi access, Chicago plans to sell access to consumers via resellers. The final offering price for the bodacious broadband service is still unknown.
