Plantronics Discovery 640 Bluetooth Headset Review

The Plantronics Discovery 640 Bluetooth Headset is a winner. If I were to compare the Motorola HS850 Bluetooth Headset against this Plantronics unit the Discovery 640 would be the winner hands down. For one this unit is as light as a feather on your ear. No kidding! At times it is quite possible that you may not even realize you’re wearing it. Packed with features like:

Up to 15 hours of talktime using the AAA charger. Standby up to 70 hours.
The unit weighs in at a whopping 9 grams! (That really light)
Lithium ion battery
AC Adapter
Bluetooth Standard of 33 feet of range
Version 1.2 Bluetooth
Supports both hands free and headset profiles

It comes with a slick silver carrying case that hold the AAA Battery Charger, charging adapters (so you can use your own cell phone ac charger with the headset), soft gel ear inserts and a ear clip if you choose to use it.

Call quality is very good. The adjustable volume controls on the headset perfrom just as they should. You can use this headset with voicedial on any voicedial compatible phone and O.S. such as WM5.

The range is excellent as promised and call clarity remained clear even at 30 feet. The best feature I like about the Discovery 640 is the weight. I still can’t get over how light this headset feels on your ear. This thing is even priced very reasonably.
