Israeli F16 Jets Fire on German Navy Vessel

According to a report by World News Australia and Tagesspiegel newspaper, Israeli F16 fighter jets allegedly fired upon a German navy vessel patrolling the coast of Lebanon on a UN peace keeping mission. It was reported that the Israeli F16’s fired upon the vessel and launched anti-missile defense flares.
A spokesman for the command of the German mission in Lebanon said it was investigating Monday’s incident. Israeli Defense Minister Amir Peretz denied his country’s planes had opened fire on the German ship. The incident is currently under investigation by the German parliament.
