Watch out Superman! Kryptonite has been discovered in Serbia. The crystal known as
Jadarite has been known to contain literally the same composition as the well known Kryptonite which rendered Superman powerless.
Kryptonite is known to be composed of “sodium lithium boron silicate hydroxide with fluorine.” The only difference between Jadarite and Kryptonite appears to be the lack of fluorine and the fact that Jadarite is white and Kryptonite is green in color.
Jadarite, discovered in Serbia was named after the location Jadar where it was found.
It is currently unknown (and highly unlikely) if Jadarite (Kryptonite) will pose any danger to superheroes. You can read more about Jadarite here.
