It’s a familiar question that’s come up time and time again over the years: Is there an end state to Moore’s Law? During his interview with Moira Gunn this afternoon, Moore himself reiterated that his law will not last forever. It’s a prediction Moore’s made before, but one that he’s sticking to.
“Any physical quantity that’s growing exponentially predicts a disaster,” Moore told Gunn. “It comes to some kind of an end. You can’t go beyond the certain major limits.”
