There are about 6.6 billion people in the world and about half that many mobile phone subscriptions. Better still, ad blocking on mobile handsets isn’t an issue. At least not yet.

Hewlett-Packard Co. announced five new iPaq handhelds and three new HP Compaq laptops today, along with dozens of handheld accessories, software packages and services.
The total release of 59 products, including 56 in the iPaq line, is a record announcement for HP, a spokeswoman said. More information is at available on the HP’s Web site.
