British researchers found that a group of 13- to 15-year-old boys and girls burned up about 60 calories an hour more playing the active sorts of games offered by the Nintendo Wii system — games that mimic movements used, for instance, to bowl, or play tennis, or to box — than they did playing more sedentary electronic games on the Xbox 360 system.
