The Japan trade and economy ministry has been notified of a possible defect with the iPod Nano mp3 player which causes sparks to shoot out of the device while charging.

SanDisk announced its latest shuffle-competing media player today, the “Clip.” The 1GB black model costs $40, has an FM tuner, support for Mp3, WMA, securei WMA, a microphone, and a fifteen hour battery life.
